The Structure of Halabja University 

The Halabja University was established in 2011 and has developed markedly ever since. In 2016, Halabja University restructured from faculty to college systems to enhance the interactions between similar academic fields. Today the University has 3 colleges and 11 departments in different fields, as listed below;

1. College of Education and Human Sciences (CEHS)
The College of Education and Human Sciences (FHSS) aims to provide education and conduct research in order to develop human resources with a broad perspective and understanding of humankind, culture and society, with expertise in lifelong development and learning. The goal of the college is to develop educators who have a commitment to lifelong development, a passion for education, and a high level of practical and problem-solving skills, and who can contribute to establishing quality of life.
2. College of Physical Education (CPE) 
The College of Physical Education is where educators are enabled to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that define active and healthy lifestyle. The objective of our physical education program is to help students understand and appreciate the body's capacity for movement, as well as the physical, mental, social and emotional outcomes of physical activity that positively contribute to health and well-being. 

3. College of Science (CS) 
The College of Science seeks to promote the study of science while ensuring an enabling environment for academic excellence. It provides comprehensive undergraduate educational programs for future scientists and science educators. The goal of the College of Science is to enrich lives, improve society and address global challenges by producing scientifically-trained leaders and innovators, advancing the frontiers of science, and enhancing public understanding of science.
